This is a mid-level role at a small, production-focused brewery that requires high attention to detail and the ability to complete myriad tasks efficiently and with limited supervision. This is a full-time, salary position with the potential to cross-train in all aspects of production and will report to both the Head Brewer and Lead Brewer.

The Job:

  • Operate canning line (Twin Monkeys Gunnison), including setup/breakdown, CIP, and QA/QC checks.

  • Routine maintenance of the canning line, labeler, and other production equipment.

  • Keg filling and keg washing.

  • CIP/SIP and CO2 purging of fermenters and brite tanks.

  • Transfer beer from fermenters to brite tanks.

  • Perform daily cellar tasks: monitor temperature, gravity, pH, VDK, and carbonation of all fermenters and brite tanks. 

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all brewing equipment and spaces, including cellar floors, drains, and tank exteriors.

  • Assist with accurately harvesting yeast and performing cell counts/pitch calculations.

  • Follow all SOPs and guidelines for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining brewery equipment.

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with all team members.

  • Maintain all required spreadsheets and assist with inventory management.

  • Accept and unload deliveries such as pallets of grain, hops, etc.


Knowledge and Experience:

  • 21+ years of age

  • 1-2 years of production experience required

  • Experience working with Twin Monkeys or any similar in-line canning lines

  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills

  • Able to perform tasks according to standard operating procedures

  • Strong desire and ability to adhere to strict quality control practices

  • Passion for beer and desire to learn

  • Computer literate

  • Forklift experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 60 pounds without assistance

  • Able to push, pull, or slide 165 pounds

  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time

  • Able to work in an environment that may be loud, hot, cold, and/or (probably) wet

  • Able to adhere to safety standards at all times

Benefits:

  • Full-time, salary: 60-64k (compensation is dependent on skills and experience)

  • 3 weeks flexible paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid federal holidays
